technique
come to silence in mind quickly you can use this technique: There are different types of thinking: verbal thinking and pictorial thinking and intuitive thinking and I recognise the final type that Nick (who is Nick? link below) is talking about which I shall call divine thinking. You will find through observation that verbal thinking, which can be said to be the frontline of thinking is such that you need to silently speak what you are thinking for you to think at all. It is an anomaly in you. we are all wired this way. Once you have observed this then use this sensation in your vocal cords to stop silently speaking what you are thinking: and your mind instantly is into the silent zone. You can do this anytime: during cross-legged meditation and anytime during the waking walking day.
This is, in fact, the function of the use of the mantra during meditation: it just distracts you from silently verbalising what you are thinking. When the mind stops verbal thinking, then the rest of the magic in mind that Nick mentions just comes naturally by just “being” and internal observation.
Pictorial thinking and intuitive thinking is a bit more difficult to get rid off but you will find that the more time you spend in that silent mind space the more those silent thoughts will disappear. Then you will arrive at the state of Divine Thinking. Nick explains this really well in his Kundalini article. You will find yourself initially silently in conversation with an intention in mind with another or accessing some sort of another realm where everything that you sense and feel and information that you get is true. I assume that this is the Brahman repository. You can work off this, even when you are in the waking state. It is a silent way of working things out in your mind when you are awake and walking about and doing things.
When you can find these mind spaces and recognise them then you can use them anytime you want to. Talking to the Divine is an interesting phenomenon to experience. You get the feeling that there is something greater than you in the universe. You get all your psychic powers that Nick mentioned in his Kundalini article from here I think. You become all-knowing in mind and realise what verbal thinking is and can see what are its limitations.
But there is a reason that we have this anomaly in verbal thinking and that verbal thinking exists at all. It is because it is the only type of thinking we have that can spin an observation you have into 100 different ideas or lies in one's mind from a single source of observation. It is the thinking that is responsible for creating all the illusions or lies in the Truth in you. It is responsible for creating duality in you: the Truth in the lie in you and the dream of existence. Everything you see around you, the infrastructure you live in and the financial system we interact with is just a reflection of one’s mind. In fact, the chaos of life itself that we experience is the chaos of our mind. It is the mind and created by the mind. The mind manifests itself into the infrastructure.
Duality and dream of existence are created by the mind. One half of duality in us is this illusion of the dream of existence that has been created by verbal thinking. We think these illusions are real. The real us is that experience you see and get when you get to the ends of your mind spaces through the silence in mind by ending verbal thinking first and then ending pictorial and intuitive thinking.
The real self starts to begin to dawn on you as these different thinking modes start to drop off. Of course, meditation is a more deliberate method to see these different states in your mind. You sit cross-legged. You isolate yourself from interference. You use a special mantra as an extra tool to silence verbal thinking but it is not necessary and that is why some just use concentration on breathing to distract away from thoughts.
In fact, keeping an observational eye on your vocal cords vibrating away is enough to keep verbal thinking at bay. You can feel it flutter when you start to spin think a thought. Pictorial thinking and intuitive thinking only needs time in that silent space for it to disappear. Cross-legged meditation is good for this as the mind and body needs to be deliberately quiet from these forms of thinking to disappear - this is my experience anyway perhaps others might see some anomaly in pictorial thinking that they can use to instantly stop pictorial thinking.
Intuitive thinking is the same. I think intuitive thinking is a wave that pictorial thinking is riding on and you see I am making an assumption here when I see that when pictorial thinking disappears - intuitive thinking is still present and doing its thing. One needs this to have a conversation with the real you at the end of the mindscape - to have an intuitive talk with the WHOLE.
Brahman which you are part of and to have access to its repository which is ultimately your real self which in the mind and body one is just a sliver of the WHOLE looking for its true home.
It is really easy to work things out when one sees this and experience the different mind spaces and make sure life is lived not off an illusion that one thinks is real but off the real you in mind and body in relation to the WHOLE. You will never be the same again. That is why some have said that there is no going back when you have experienced this and when you see how the blindness in one's mind is tied up to one's type of thinking then you can also see how if you are determined you can get it all in one day with no verbal thinking and some cross-legged meditation.
Large institutions have been built around this but my experience is that they are very good at denying how simple the solution to everything is, as then if the power to be in control is in the hands of the individual then there is no reason for confusion to exist and hence no reason for an infrastructure for spirituality to exist.
When you have seen the ends of your mind spaces via observation then you can pull back and work off the spaces that you are comfortable in and go about your daily activities but you know where everything is and that this is this and a lie in you and that is that and the real me and am part of the whole. That was how we came into being and the natural in us is still part of the natural infrastructure of nature itself and we are living in an infrastructure that was created by our verbal thinking mind and it has itself created a SYNTHETIC consciousness that surrounds us that is coming off this artificial infrastructure and it is in competition with natural consciousness and we are finding it difficult to tell between the 2: duality in us and outside us that is reinforcing this duality via an artificial consciousness.
To think that verbal thinking, a simple anomaly in our thinking and the spinner of the creative process is responsible for this vast illusionary world that we live in.
Characteristics of Kundalini rising. Looks like the process follows the process of finding one's different mind spaces. Collaborating with others: discover together: Tomorrow's world today.
was led to Spirituality over a decade ago while facing a persistent health problem which was stressing me out in daily life and cost me a lot of money since modern doctors could not explain anything.
I would occasionally check out the SSRF website and once happened to come across the case study with similar symptoms explaining how the root cause was in the spiritual realm and provided a simple solution to chant the Name of God. Despite being totally new to chanting, after just 2-3 months of chanting, the intensity of my pain in the chest reduced by 70% and finally disappeared after just 6 months of regular chanting.
This first hand experience left me speechless and immensely grateful to the SSRF research team for positively transforming my life.Thereafter I started to give time to take practical steps to implement chanting, salt water remedy and personality defect removal process. While studying and practicing the recommended spiritual practice I never once felt alone as seekers would clarify doubts to all my questions with a lot of patience and understanding. I was even fortunate to meet a few SSRF seekers and Saints and the first impression was this feeling of connection as if I already knew them and their attitude of selfless service.
The answer is simple. And obvious, with a few moments thought. If you spend any time at all studying the people that do the thing that you describe, they all say some version of what I am about to tell you..
By the way, the effect happens with people in all the schools that exist on this planet of ours. It’s not limited to the non-duality schools.
And also, by the way, you have not described what they do and say accurately. They don’t say “Don’t do meditation”, although in some specific cases, to specific people or groups, they might say that. They say, “Meditation isn’t what does it. Meditation doesn’t produce awakening.”
To answer your question: Here is what happens.
They build an enduring awakening. This is a very different state that the non-endurng awakenings that come earlier, as you approach awakening.
This awakening doesn’t stop. You see yourself, and the world around you, with neutral and clear perception for the first time.
You see, and you realize something.
