What is the best book to start preparing for the SBI(PO) exam
How do I prepare for SBI PO 2025?
I would like to share my experience of how I cleared SBI PO and JA 2019 both in 1st attempt.
My answer will surely help you๐๐
The key to success to clear banking exams is just practise. Nothing else can give you success.
I would bifurcate the preparation for prelims and mains.
Prelims preparation :
You have to acquire speed and accuracy both. Increase your speed in maths and reasoning . To increase speed in maths , try to solve simplification question on daily basis. Remember squares and cubes. Remember ratios values which convert into percentage. Try to prepare topics in a sequence, for exaMple try to do ratio first then percentage topic as ratio will help u a lot in percentage chapter then afterwards do SI and CI as both ratio and percentage are used in this chapter . So try to do maths in this manner.
To increase speed in reasoning just practise questions daily.
After your syllabus is completed. Give mock test daily , and work in questions which you find difficult or which take more time in mock test.
You will easily clear prelims .
Mains exam preparation :
In mains examination you don't need speed , you need to have your concepts cleared about every topics .
Clearing prelims means you have your concepts cleared . Now you only need to work on GS portion.
Study weekly current affairs pdf and then monthly pdf from other source. I used to study affairs cloud weekly pdf and then gradeup monthly digest. Make notes of current affairs section wise and month wise which will in return help you a lot to revise as you won't need pdf anymore to revise all the stuff.
If you have good preparation before prelims try to study GS well before prelims as it will give you a lead and will get more time to cover static and current affairs portion.
Try to cover following topics in static gk
◆CMs and Governer
◆Dams and rivers on which they are constructed
◆latest appointment in banks
◆Banks headquarter and their taglines
◆latest policy and schemes intrest rates
◆books and authors (latest 5–6 months)
◆important days and their themes( last 6 months)
Give Mock test for mains daily or one in two days after prelims . Always Analyse your mock test. Work on you weak points . Practise the questions which you were unable to do in mock test.
Following are my suggestions if you really want to utilize your time
◆ avoid using whatsapp for continuous talk , instead call your friend , takk in conference call for group talk , whatsapp is useful for sharing stuffs and just sending any news, else it will waste your time.
◆ go to walk or play with your friends in the evening as it will not only make you social but also refresh your mind.
◆ maintain regularity
◆ try to solve as many questions as possible
◆ give mocks test as much as possible , but most important is to analyse the mock test , analyse your sectional scoring and performance .
◆ work out on your weak subjects and topics by analysing the mock test
◆ avoid using mobile every minute , don't use mobile while studying
If you need any suggestion or any query please ask
I would be very happy if even 1 student reading this will get selection ๐๐
Thanks

How did you prepare for the SBI PO Mains exam?
Any competitive exam be it SBI , ibps , Lic, or upsc the prelims is for the sake of screening and weeding out, but the real make or break is “Mains".
First one need to understand , how different is prelims from mains or is there any similarity.
Differences first : If prelims is a sprint then mains is a Marathon which is not covered in 6 seconds or 60 minutes rather a full fledged focus is required for straight 3.5 hours!
Prelims want us to act and emerge like Usain Bolt but very innocent Mains urge us to be “Mo Farah" (Mo Farah - Wikipedia ) A very decorated athelete of all time.
Similarities: Apa
